Statement on the passing of the former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga
It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that the Kenya Diaspora Alliance Germany K-DAG e. V. mourns the passing of Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, a statesman whose life was devoted to justice, democracy, and the unity of our nation.
Raila Odinga was not only a national leader but also one of our own, having lived and studied in Magdeburg Germany. As a member of the Kenyan diaspora in Germany during his formative years, he built bridges of understanding between our two nations and embodied the spirit of resilience, international fellowship, and aspiration that continues to inspire many Kenyans abroad.
His life was marked by courage, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment to democracy and human dignity. His voice transcended borders, giving hope to countless Kenyans, both at home and across the diaspora.
On behalf of the Kenyan community in Germany, we extend our deepest condolences to the Odinga family, friends and the people of Kenya. We stand united in mourning a father of the nation whose legacy will endure through generations.
May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his lifelong pursuit of freedom, unity, and justice continue to guide our nation forward.
Ruhe in Frieden, Baba.

Chairman
